Perry C. Parks, III
A 20-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, Perry Parks serves as a government affairs consultant for Strategic Counsel PLC where he assists the firm's clients in plotting a course through the rocky regulatory and public policy terrain he so nimbly traversed during his career in the private sector.
Mr. Parks earned a reputation for successful engagements with policy makers and government agencies working with Comcast Cable as vice president of government affairs and with AT&T Broadband where he was vice president of government affairs. Prior to that, he was director of corporate and legal affairs for MediaOne of Southern California. In this role, Mr. Parks advised corporate officers on political and public policy concerns, and interfaced with local, state, and federal organizations on a wide range of issues affecting the cable communications industry.
Mr. Parks frequently speaks to high-profile organizations including the Utility and Commerce Committee of the California State Legislature and the California State Board of Equalization. He has advised California state and local agencies and numerous city councils on communications regulatory and policy matters. As host of "One on One," a statewide public affairs television program that focused on economic and public policy issues, Mr. Parks interviewed elected officials, ambassadors, academics, clergymen, executives, and thought leaders.
Mr. Parks earned his master's degree in public administration from Pepperdine University, and his bachelor's degree in education from California State University, Los Angeles.
